The ATLAS Flight Center has been the setting for a historic milestone in Spanish university rocketry: the first launch of a sounding rocket in the province of Jaén. The Faraday Rocketry UPV team, made up of 46 students from the Universitat Politècnica de València, successfully validated their rocket ‘Rompetechos’, which was entirely designed and built by the team.
Alpha Unmanned Systems once again chose the ATLAS flight centre to carry out the final module of the A900 UAV helicopter certification training, together with a team from QinetiQ Germany.
ATLAS has been part of a new technological milestone by hosting the demonstration of the U-ELCOME project in Andalusia, which enabled the transport of medical supplies by drone between Beas de Segura and Villacarrillo.
From June 16 to 22, CATEC took part in the 55th edition of the Paris Air Show in Le Bourget, the largest aerospace fair in Europe, with its own stand located within the Spanish Pavilion of TEDAE (the Spanish Association of Technological Companies in Defense, Security, Aeronautics, and Space).
B2Space, a European leader in high altitude operations, has successfully demonstrated its stratospheric capabilities at our ATLAS Alpha flight centre, deploying its comprehensive Aereal Imager solution, designed for emergency and territory management.
ATLAS and CATEC have been present and participated in the X Conference on Technologies and Solutions for Industrial Automation (JAI 2025), promoted by the School of Industrial Engineering of Vigo, which brought together in the Galician city world experts in robotics, cybersecurity and AI.
