ATLAS and CATEC have been present and participated in the X Conference on Technologies and Solutions for Industrial Automation (JAI 2025), promoted by the School of Industrial Engineering of Vigo, which brought together in the Galician city world experts in robotics, cybersecurity and AI.
For four days, some 70 top international speakers and nearly 2,000 attendees have participated in this outstanding event, attended by companies from all over the world to showcase their products related to industrial automation. Robots have shown in Vigo all their power, from helping children with autism to making inventories, highlighting Wall-E, one of the most demanded models to be photographed by visitors.

Ollero during his presentation at JAI 2025
Our center has had its own stand in the exhibition area ‘Showroom Industry 4.0’, which brings together the main industries of the sector, and which has had 40 exhibitors. Here we have shown our cutting-edge solutions in robotics and AI and presented outstanding projects of CATEC and ATLAS Flight Center.
In addition, our scientific director Aníbal Ollero attended as an expert to participate in the presentations on Thursday, February 13. Ollero first gave a lecture on CATEC’s capabilities in aerial robotics, and then took part in a round table discussion, moderated by Jorgina Díaz, president of HispaRob, on robotics research, with other fellow professors: Oussama Khatib (Stanford University), Bruno Siciliano (University of Naples Federico II, PRISMA Lab) and Carlos Balaguer (Universidad Carlos III de Madrid).
It should be remembered that Ollero has participated in the history of the School of Industrial Engineering of Vigo, and is founder of the Department of Systems Engineering and Automation of the University of Vigo.
They have been very interesting days and of great learning. Many thanks to the colleagues of CATEC Galicia and to our scientific director for their involvement!
