This week, we had an interesting visit to the ATLAS facility. Our staff received a group of eight people from Rwanda, made up of key players in the drone industry in this African country, including regulators, implementers, managers, designers and members of the private sector.
The purpose of their visit was to conduct a study for the opening of a similar drone operations centre in their country, all under the authority of the Rwandan government. After an initial study of the various existing European centres in this field, they chose only two, including ATLAS/CATEC.
The visit was most productive. With the help of our manager Macarena Márquez, they were able to visit the facilities, learn first-hand how the campaigns are organised and how they work on obtaining flight permits, as well as getting to know the engineering and technological support work carried out at CATEC.
Here are some images of the visit. Thank you!
